Saturday, August 5, 2017 started like most days on my annual family golf outing, which dates back 25+ years. Everyone was up laughing, sharing stories and eating breakfast. Saturday was our annual skins game of our 4 day golf outing. I hadn't started the round very well with a couple of bogeys. We pulled up to the 4th hole. A par 4, 364 yard dog leg right. I remember thinking and saying I should play this smart and I grabbed an iron. However, just before I got to the tee box I stopped and thought I'm gonna go for it. Turned around grabbed my driver and went back to the tee box. I looked ahead at the green and another foursome in our group was on the green. I thought go ahead you will never hit them. I teed up my titleist ProV1 and took my swing at the ball. It looked perfect in the air cutting the dog leg right over the trees. Then I thought oh no that's heading right for the guys on the green. I screamed fore because my excitement for my shot turned into panic that I might hit one of them. After I yelled fore it appeared that the ball wasn't near them because them didn't move. Then what seemed like forever but was probably only like 5-10 seconds the guys on the green started screaming. We were like what happened. They started screaming its in the hole. Got in their carts to drive back and tell me. It was a surreal moment being with family, making a hole-in-one on a par 4, and celebrating that moment with family that was on the tee box with me when I hit it and family who was on the green and witnessed it go in the hole. A moment I will never forget. Thank you titleist for making such a superior product.
