The Bloody Mary Open @ Eagle Watch Golf Club (an Arnold Palmer design) is the first MGA tournament of the year. 72 participants, 4-man teams playing “6-6-6.” Holes 1-6 are Best Ball, holes 7-12 are Texas Scramble, and holes 13-18 are Full Scramble. When we arrived at the 17th tee, our 7th hole of the day, the wind was in our face on the 124-yard par 3. After my 3 teammates hit, I teed up my yellow AVX and hit a beautiful 9-iron that hit just behind the flag, bounced once, and then sucked back into the cup. Saw the whole thing, and it was a total rush. I’m so thankful to be “in the club.”
