Saturday, November 19, 2011, I finally achieved my 1st hole in one! I started golfing at age 12. My dad was the superintendent of a public golf course in Des Moines he retired after 38 years of dedication last December - if not for him this dream would have never came true!

He taught me everything i know about golf! Thanks Dad!!

It was very windy and a little chilly saturday but my friend Tony and i wanted one more round before the season ended for us. We were on the #9 tee 165 yrd par 3 at woodland hills golf course i lined up to the left side of the tee box as the wind was blowing heavily to the right i hit my ball as the wind gradually pushed it to the right it bounced on the fringe then the green then rolled up and to the right and all the sudden i watched it disappear! I looked at my friend and said i think i just hit a hole in one?? unsure at the moment i anxiously waited as he hit his shot which barely went off the tee box then his next shot far off to the right and again his 3rd shot laying up short?? I knew he was making me wait on purpose haha...

As we approached the green i walked to the cup and there was my pro v1. It is an experience i will never forget although it took 25 years to happen it was well worth the wait!
