After receiving a dozen new Titleist Pro V1x balls from my Mom & Dad visiting over the summer, I ventured out to one of my favorite courses in Hamilton County, Indiana, Bear Slide Golf Club with my brother Rob. After loosing a ball on the prior hole OB, I reached into my bag to for a new pellet on the par 3 14th. After striking one of those pure shots we all love to feel, stepping away we noticed it hit high upon the flag stick and immediately felt the excitement of the moment. Since we could not see the bottom two thirds of the pin due to a grass knoll between the tee and green we drove up anxiously. A quick survey near the hole and around the green lead us to the cup, and there she was, Titleist Pro V1x #1 with my normal green clover marking. The shot hit so high upon the flag stick that the ball seemed to get wrapped up in the Bear Slide flag, dropping it effortlessly into the cup and bringing that euphoric feeling to me some 40 years after beginning to play a game I love, introduced by my Dad and encouraged by my Mom throughout my life, thanks.
