48 years of waiting came to an end the day before Thanksgiving. Having made four double eagles in the same course of time, and witnessed some improbable hole in ones of my playing partners, I wondered if it would ever happen. A well struck 9 iron that hit short of the pin and tracked directly to the hole answered the question. Needless to say my golf game had a lot to be thankful for the day before turkey day.
