4th Career Hole in One
By John W On November 27, 2011
It was the day after Thanksgiving. It was our first annual "Black Friday Shootout". I was the last to hit in my group on hole 13. The wind was coming from right to left. I aimed just a bit to the right to let the ball ride the wind. The ball came off the club face perfectly and I hit a very high tee shot that just drifted back toward the hole. The ball landed about 4 feet past the pin and spun back. The ball disappeared, but we didn't know if it went into the hole. There is a low spot just below the pin and I thought it may have settled there. Terry was the first one to the green and the ball wasn't in sight. He peeked in the hole and kinda slumped his shoulders like it wasn't in the hole. Then he looked to the back of the green and said, "There it is!" Then he got a big grin on his face and told me the truth. IT'S IN THE HOLE!!
