I have been playing golf for 41 years and I finally got my first hole-in-one on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. On the island hole #8 at Gateway Golf Club in Romulus, Michigan, I used a 7-iron from 132 yards to a middle right pin placement over the sand trap. I was golfing with my brother and he brought his son along who is not a golfer. In fact, he has never golfed so he got to see something that will inspire him to pick up the game. I used the Titleist #2 AVX golf ball which is only the second time I have ever used that golf ball. All I can say is I will continue to use that ball in the future!! Hopefully I don’t have to wait another 40 years for another hole-in-one.
