Ace with my Pops

I stepped up to the seventh tee box like I had done over a hundred times before. Just coming off a bogey on the sixth I was not overly thrilled. I teed up the ball and took one look at the flag. I choked down on my 8-iron and took a swing. After I hit the ball I knew it was going to be good. Both my Dad and I stood there in silence. Once the ball hit the green it started to roll to the hole. The roll seemed to take an hour but once it fell in the hole we ERUPTED in cheer. As my Dad said "He was scared that I was going to steam-roll him." We cheered and ran all over the tee box in celebration.

When I was ten my Dad made a deal with me. He said that if I got a Hole-In-One he would give me $100 dollars. After 18 years I was able to cash in on that deal. But more than winning the money I was glad to be able to experience this rare event with my Dad!!!
