Playing a skins game with four of my friends on a less than perfect weather day I swung my five iron on the Eleventh Tee after watching my fellows fall short. Arriving at the green we were one ball short, as I fixed a ball mark just short of the hole I saw mine could only be in one place and it was. Proof of the old saw "Any day golfing beats any day at work."
I'd worked half a day that day and then went to play,at the ninth the game was called off as some players thought the conditions were not to their liking so they missed out on a beverage and a story.
