When I retired 12 years ago I decided to take up golf and purchased a set of Titleist AP1 irons. After for years of continuing success with them, I decided to go to a slimmer profile head and went to the Calloway X Forged. OMG what a mistake. I struggled with them for two years. The sweet spot was so small that it had zero forgiveness and my game went straight to the basement! On 9/7/20, I played in a scramble at the Meadow Oaks GC in Hudson, FL and a player in my group had a set of 718 AP1's and the changes and modernizations over my old set were remarkable, much better profile without losing forgiveness and the high polish finish was beautiful. Went immediately online and purchased a VG condition set with senior graphite shafts with 3 AP1 wedges. I received them on 9/9/20 and put new grips on them. On 9/11/20 I used the set for the first time without practicing cuz the grips were'nt dry yet. To make a long story short, on hole #15 I swung my pitcher for the first time and my group started screaming and yelling, it was a "Hole in One".
