I was having an excellent front 9 on a beautiful early fall day playing the course at which I work and have been a club member for 20 years. Our 7th hole has a three tiered green and most of the aces on that hole occur when the pin is in the front. On this day, the pin was back left - blue. I hit what I thought was a pretty good 8-iron and my playing partner said it was headed for the hole but we could not see the cup from the tee. There was a guy playing #6 who was sitting in his cart above our green apparently waiting for us to hit. He had no reaction to the shot so we just figured good shot but no ace. Once we got closer to the front of the green and didn't see the ball we assumed it had gone in. It had. I left that green 2 under par on the front another thrill for me!
