I belong to a senior league out of Countryside Golf Course in Mundelein, IL. On October 1, (Which incidentally would have been my father's 92nd birthday) I was playing the Prairie Course with three other league members. At 9, I took out my 8 iron, but after Al teed off, I uncharacteristically reassessed my club and went back for my 9. I was the last of the foursome to tee off, and put my Titleist Pro V on the tee. I had been playing well off the tee, but my irons were not behaving. My swing felt great and we watched as my Titleist arched high, bounced at the front edge of the green, took one additional bounce, then rolled nicely to the cup. We all clearly saw it, but I didn't believe it at first. Great feeling, walking up to the green with no putter!! The other league members have been awesome in their recognition.
