I have been playing golf for 52 years. I have come close to a hole-in-one a number of times. I have even had a ball land in the hole on the fly only to pop out and roll off the green into a pond. I have had a double eagle and have holed out from the fairway for eagle several times.

After a rough first hole, bogey on a par 5, I was not expecting anything special. But from the moment the ball left the club, I thought it had a chance. The ball landed about 18 inches behind the hole and backed into the cup. What a feeling! It was also special that I was playing with two of my long time friends and playing partners.
