After forty five years and a few misses I get the vaunted hole in one that everyone dreams about. Hit a 52 degree wedge, high curving right to left, began getting a feeling I never get about where the ball was going, hits about six inches from the hole, drops in, held up by the flagstick against the edge of the hole while the wind moves the stick and the ball drops deep into the cup. I threw my hands up in the air in sheer joy and relief........I had achieved what everyone dreams of, my first hole in one.
