I'm one of those players who never expected it to happen. Two weeks from retirement and 35+ years later, it did! We were playing in a four-man scramble at Four Mile Ranch Golf Club in Canon City CO. The flag on the #17 Par 3 was near the front of the green at about 111 yds. It's guarded by large rocky hills on both sides, and you can't see the hole from the white tee box, only the top half of the flag. I hit my cally X Hot pitching wedge pure and high. After each of us hit our ball, we knew a couple of us were close, but we couldn't see our balls until we went nearly all the way around to the back side of the green. And there was that beautiful yellow Titleist TruFeel ball IN THE HOLE!
