I first played golf in 1982 during a company golf outing. In 1993, I joined the IRS golf league. I played golf once per week during the summer months with the golf league. The golf league play at the Kittyhawk golf club in Dayton, OH. After my retirement from the IRS in 2006, I started playing golf 3 times per week, mostly at the Kittyhawk Golf Club. Golfing is my favorite hobby. During the month of January each year, I take a one week golf vacation to Santee, South Carolina and play golf with some of the guys from the golf league. I once made an eagle shot at one of the courses in Santee. I have made a few birdie putts. I never thought that I would make a hole-in-one golf shot. On Monday, October 17, 2011, I was very shocked, surprised, and excited when my ball rolled into the hole for a hole-in-one on #8 hole on the Hawk course at the Kittyhawk Golf Club. When I think about my hole-in-one shot, I feel very excited and wonder if I will ever be able to make another hole-in-one. I will keep faith, hope, and pray that it will happen again.
