Hole In One - Trophy Club of Atlanta

Hole In One - Trophy Club of Atlanta

August 4th, 2014, my buddy and I Mark went to play a round at Trophy Club of Atlanta in Milton, Ga. At this point, I had only been playing golf regularly for about 2 years, and I started off the day well with 5 pars in a row. We reached the 6th hole, which is a 141yd par 3. The tee box sits above the green, so it plays about 130. The pin was positioned middle right, and I decided to hit my PW. I threw my ball on the ground, took a practice swing and addressed the ball. I made great contact, and hit a little fade towards the right side of the green. The ball flight was great, and it was tracking towards the pin. I initially thought I was going to be a little long, but my ball bounced about 3 feet in front of the hole, then bounced again about 18 inches from the hole, eventually landing about a foot from the hole and rolling in. We both celebrated and took a picture of my ball in the hole once we made our way down to the green. I proceeded to finish with a 38 on the front 9 after two bogeys and a double. That experience is what golf is all about. This game is so challenging, and sometimes, you get lucky and you get a bounce and roll that goes your way. Wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. Still looking for my second hole in one, although I’m not holding my breath!
