Hole-in-One Palmer Course - Speidel Golf Club - Oglebay Resort

I was playing the 17th hole on the Palmer Course at the Speidel Golf Club - Oglebay Resort in the MLBC Spring Charity Golf Outing that benefits WVU Children's Hospital. It's a very fun event for a great cause. The hole has an elevated tee box and you can see the entire green from it, and it was our third hole of the day because it was a scramble format with a shotgun start. I was the last one to hit, and no one on my team had landed on the green. A company I knew was sponsoring the hole, and my foursome, along with the people I knew from the company, were all joking that the pressure was on me to get on the green. I joked that this pressure was nothing compared to the pressure I felt making the winning putt at the mini-golf world championship. We were playing from the whites and the scorecard had 149 yards to the center, and the pin was towards the back of the green. I do not recall the exact yardage measurement, but the hole played shorter since it was an elevated tee box. I hit my trusty Titleist Forged 690cb 8-iron, and the ball hit the green about 30 feet from the hole, and started rolling towards the hole. It got closer and closer, and I thought, "Hey, this shot is looking really good" and then suddenly it disappeared into the hole. Of course the "crowd" went wild. It was exciting to have it happen at an industry event where I knew a lot of people, and word spread quickly. I was congratulated for the rest of the day by people around the course.
