HOLEIN ONE & ALBATROSS
By Harbir P On September 22, 2016
It was a sunny afternoon on 14th Se 2016, when my boss and I decided to play Nine holes of golf at Beas (a small place in Punjab, India). Beas Golf course is a Nine hole course. The 2nd hole is a short Par 4 with a slight dog leg to the left. It has a lot of trees towards the green (from 120-180 Yards), One tree guarding the green on the right along with a bunker. There is another bunker to the left of the green and if you tee off to a little to the left you go OB. That apart about 60 yards from the Tee there is a huge Tree on the left of the fairway thus leaving very little margin for error. My played played a good shot and landed just about on the edge of the green. I used a 5 Wood (a Jack Nicklaus MV-20), with a Pro V1 ball on a high Tee. There was hardly any breeze. I swung out easy and the ball soared nice and high but I felt it had drawn a bit too much and was a little anxious that I may get in the bunker on the left of the green. On reaching the green I went straight to the left bunker and found nothing!! Thats when my caddie called out saying the ball is in the Cup. Wooooow........ the best I have ever felt on a Golf Course. A hole in one and a double eagle/ an ALBATROSS!!!!
