Dear Titleist, I am a 58 yr old 10 handicapper. I've been playing golf for 22 years and I have never had a hole-in-one. That all changed on Oct 10, 2020 while playing at Wildhorse Country Club in Davis CA. It was a 117 yard par three, over water, to a tiny green sloping right to left into water. I pulled out SW and hit it as perfect as I can. I knew it was going to be close right away. My friends were saying how good it looked in the air. It landed above the hole and spun back towards the cup. Unfortunately that's where the story ends for me. Thats because I didn't get to see the ball enter the cup. From my angle a patch of willows were in my line of sight... one of the foursome yelled "I think it dropped!". Hoping, but not sure we got into our carts and anxiously drove to the hole. As we got closer, I could see the top of a golfball, so I knew it didn't drop. But wait, its COVID time...Id forgotten that each hole had a rubber stopper keeping balls from dropping all the way down in the hole. Ace!
