Island Hole In One

Island Hole In One

I was playing a friendly match with my wife, friend and his girlfriend at Baypointe Country Club in Onset Ma and we had our 5 year old along. We didn't have our best stuff, but were having fun. Enter the short but daunting Par 3 7th hole. The hole only plays about 90-100 yards, but it's an island green that is completely surrounded by water and bunkered on the edges too. From the tee, short is wet, long is wet, slightly left or right is trap and further left or right is also wet. Needlessto say, the goal is to just be accurate and hit the center of the green. I was first up, hit a 60° wedge that landed the ball about 3 yards short and left of the pin on a gentle slope that tracked a bit right towards the pin, and to everyone's surprise, dove right into the hole! Still didn't win the match in the end but certainly won that hole!!
