It was the first weekend of December Saturday 12/03/11 around 50's temp. The course is Bull Run in Haymarket VA. The previous weekend was Thanksgiving weekend and my son was home from college. We went paintballing that Saturday, and Sunday I laid around the house all day with a heating pad on my back. Wednesday I could still barely walk but a buddy called and figuring there weren't many nice days left I popped some Ibuprofen and went for it. I was running late so wasn't going to have chance to warm up but they ended up having a 30 minute frost delay. I got to warm up and was playing ok. It was the 11th hole. 169 yards and I use a 6 iron. Pin was on the right side of the green and I took dead aim at. If I miss I usually draw it so I figured worse case I would be in the middle of the green. But the ball went straight and hit about 15 yards in front of the pin. It released just enough so that it barley ran out of speed as it dropped in the hole. I honestly couldn't see it go in the hole but one of the younger guys in our foursome started screaming that it went in. I didn't celebrate until I walked up and saw it in the hole. Don't ask me how I did on the next hole though...
