Ladys Tuesday Night League at Middleton Golf Course
By Susan M On August 28, 2011
Hi my name is Susan McClory of Middleton Massachusetts. I've been playing golf since 1982 "anywhere they let women play!"
But for the last 4 years I've played at Middleton Golf Course on the Tuesday Evening League with my 3 sisters, Michele, Toni and Nina. We enjoy each others company, make fun of each other, laugh alot and always acknowledge a great shot.
On that beautiful sunny night of August 23, 2011 I set out to play once more with my sisters. On the 1st hole of the night my sister Michele teed off and landed close to the pin but long.
I teed up one of my logo balls which I gave out last Christmas to my sisters that say "Twisted Sister NTSM" Titleist DT Solo. Pulled out my 6 iron lined up my shot, took 3 or 4 practice swings then proceeded to hit all of that ball right into the sun.
All of a sudden my sister Michele says I think you could get a hole in one with that shot. As we all watched in awe that beautiful little ball hit 5 or 6 feet before pin and slowly rolled into the hole. The sun was right in our eyes so it was hard to believe it really went in.
After yelling, dancing and high fiving I asked our club pro Chris Costa to please ride over in his cart check to see if I really got one. He drove up and acted sort of disappointed. At first he thought my sisters ball was my ball and I had not really got a hole in one at all. But he walked alittle further and signaled back to me that Yes it was a hole in one.
What a magical feeling it is to get a hole in one. Best of all my sister were with me and all my fellow employees at Middleton Golf Course came out to congratulate me that night and the next day.
I'm glad I was using that Titleist ball because it gave me good luck.
