Heysham Ladies Open on 20th July 2012. Shaw Hill team of 3, Bernie Stones, Jean Sidebottom and I played a team strokeplay competition where 3 scored on the par 5's 2 on the par 4's and 1 score only counted on all the par 3's.

The 13th hole was 148 yards uphill and I took a 3 wood and hit a lovely straight shot pin high. I saw it land, bounce once and disappear, I said, "I think that's gone in the hole" but honestly couldn't believe it had, but on walking up to the green, could only see 2 balls on the green, at which stage we all ran up to the green and yes - my little titleist golf ball with my mark of a pink smiley face was sat there in the hole!! Form the year I started to play in 2006, each year I write my coming year's 'golf goals' and each year - Get a hole in one is on the list - so now have achieved.

One of my savings from Roseanna Leighton's Golf Mind tapes is 'what the mind, perceives, the mind believes and the mind achieves and it DID.

Needless to say that on the 13th the girls put away their putters and we won the competition that day.
