I play with a group of guys every Saturday. I started out on with a rough front nine. First seven holes were not going my way. I realized I wasn’t giving it 100%. On the 8th hole par 3. I decided to step it up. Hit a nice shot within 6 feet of the pin and made the birdie. Bogeyed 9 with a ball in water for a 46 on the front. Started hole 10 with a 3 putt for bogey. The 11th hole par 3 was 144 yards down wind with the pin approx. 10’ in from the front bunker. We had to wait and the group behind us caught up. Now I had at least 7 people on the Tee box talking as I was preparing to hit. I stepped up and hit the ball. Contact was so good I thought I missed the shot. When I looked up, it was going straight at the pin. As it got closer I could see it was going to be close. The ball landed on the green in front of the pin bounced twice and disappeared at the flag stick. I yelled that I made a H-I-O!!! Of course they doubted me. We headed to the green. Of course the guysI was with messed with me as I walked up telling me the ball was over the back. I didn’t fall for it cause I saw it disappear at the pin. It of course was in the Hole! What a surreal feeling. I was amazed and yet calm at the same time. Surprisingly I followed up the 12th hole Par 5 and 13th Par 4 with birdies. Two pars after that and 3 bogies coming in for a 36 on the back 9 and a total score of 82! WHAT A DAY!!! 01-16-2021 at Boca Greens in Boca Raton Florida. The End... .
