My hole in one story

My hole in one story

It was my first outting of the year on a sunny and warm Sunday afternoon. At the range before my round, I felt extremely comfortable with my swing and especially for it being my first round. I was hitting my driver and irons extremely well. On the first par 3 of the round, the 4th hole, I made good contact but landed on the fringe of the green and chipped it close to the hole and tapped it in for a par. Then came the 8th hole. The 8th hole is a 160-165 yard par 3 with water in front of hole and sand bunkers on the right and left side of the green. Also, it is uphill a little bit and the pin was in the middle-right part of the green. I had honors from the previous hole but I could not decide weather or not to hit a 6 iron or 7 iron so my brother and friend decided to hit before me. Once I finally decided on the 7 iron I went up to the tee box and was not too confident in my choice. I hit a draw and it was right at the pin but a hole in one never crossed my mind at all until my obnoxious friend yelled "Get in the hole!". Surely enough, right after he yelled that the ball landed on the green and rolled and suddenly vanished. I was in complete shock and could not believe I made a hole in one because an accomplishment like that is so rare and was never even a thought in my mind. Once the ball dropped in the hole I dropped my club and did not know how to react, my brother and friend ran up to me with smiles and hugs and a foursome on the teebox next to us was clapping, cheering, and congradulating me. Not only was this my most memorable round of golf, but this is and always will be my most prized memory. Nothing can replace the immense feeling of making a hole in one. Thank you for listening to my story.
