My New 620CBs Hit The Spot
By RGonzales On October 23, 2020
After coming to the harsh reality that I'm washed and have no business playing blades anymore, I made the bittersweet transition from my 712MB to one of the more recent technology offerings in the 620CB. These sticks been in my bag since September and so far I'm seeing a noticeable difference in distance control and dispersion!
I play in a weekly low gross/skins game with my old golf coach and a good group of scratch golfers. Great for competition and concentration- birdies rarely hold up. With my new arsenal in hand and determination to make some money, I pulled a 8 iron on 172 yard 12th hole at the Cottonwood Golf Club located just outside of San Diego. Best part of the 620cb is that you gain forgiveness while maintaining ability to work the ball. Back left pin, I hit a baby fade starting towards the middle of the green. Once the ball started on my line, I yelled to my group "that's gonna go in the hole!" The ball landed about 2 yards past the hole. I began the walk back to my cart with every intention on making the birdie putt and hoping it holds up.
As we began our drive towards the hole, my playing partner stood up in the moving golf cart yelling out "dude where's your ball?!?!" My golf coach quickly ran towards the hole and threw up two thumbs up back to me as I approached the green yelling "IT'S IN THE HOLE! YOU CALLED IT!"
Been playing golf since 1996 and of course apart of all the oddity that is 2020 that I got my first HIO. For those dying to know how much that skin paid out- it was a whopping $45. Gonna quit my job now and join the Tour.
