I got this hole in one during the first round of our Club Championship on our 17th hole usually the easiest hole on our course. The ladies tee is 101 yards long but this day, we had to play from the men's tee which measured 136 and you had to go over water now. Instead of my 8 iron, I used an onld 11 wood, hit what I thought was a poor shot, a low liner that missed the water, and a bunker and rolled up past the back flag, off the green where it stopped for a moment and then slowly rolled back down the hill, on to the green and into the hole from the rear. That's when the yelling started!
