I have been close many times to a Hole In One, but August 30, 2011 was my day. I play in a 9 hole League on Tuesdays at the Mid Rivers Golf Links. I had made Par on Hole 2 so I was first up. My Golf Buddy told me it was 111 yards and for me that is a smooth Pitching Wedge. Like Harvey Pennick says i took dead aim. The trajectory was very high and it took one bounce near the hole and disappeared. I turned around to my partners and looked at them with anticipation. I unfortunately had to wait for the others to make their shots and raced to the green. I nearly ran to hole lookin for what I hoped was my ball at the bottom of that cup and it was there. From then on it was all high fives and beer for everyone.
