The biggest team event in women's golf is underway at Des Moines Golf and Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa, and 18 of the 24 players on Team USA and Team Europe will rely on a Titleist golf ball.
Team USA hopes to keep the Solheim Cup on American soil after winning the 2015 event 14.5 to 13.5 upon capturing 8.5 of the 12 available singles points to record the biggest comeback in the competition's history. The competition has been contested 14 times since 1990 with Team USA capturing the cup nine times while Team Europe has won five.
Titleist golf ball loyalists on the United States team include Cristie Kerr (Pro V1), Austin Ernst (Pro V1), Brittany Lang (Pro V1x), Danielle Kang (Pro V1x), Brittany Lincicome (Pro V1x), Gerina Piller (Pro V1x), Angel Yin (Pro V1x) and Lizette Salas (Pro V1x).
On the European side, players trusting Titleist golf balls include Florentyna Parker (Pro V1), Emily Pedersen (Pro V1), Carlota Ciganda (Pro V1), Charley Hull (Pro V1x), Caroline Masson (Pro V1x), Catriona Matthew (Pro V1x), Jodie Ewart Shadoff (Pro V1x), Georgia Hall (Pro V1x), Karine Icher (Pro V1x). and Melissa Reid (Pro V1x).
