Titleist golf ball loyalist Scott McCarron (Pro V1), the only player to fire four consecutive rounds in the 60’s, captured the Constellation Senior Players Championship by one shot over two players, including fellow Titleist Pro V1 golf ball loyalist Bernhard Langer.
McCarron closed with a 6-under-par 66 at Caves Valley Golf Club outside Baltimore to finish at 18-under 270 en route to an 18-under-par 270 victory total.
The win marked McCarron’s first career major championship crown and prevented Langer from winning his fourth straight Senior Players Championship and 10th overall major on the PGA Tour Champions.
“It’s tough to put this into words,” McCarron said. “I’ve been working so hard. To win my first major out here on the Champions Tour, it just feels so good.”
McCarron rallied from a six-shot deficit to start the final round, tying for the largest ever by the winner of the Senior Players Championship.
Congratulations, Scott!

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS
Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Constellation Senior Players Championship, where 60 players in the field of 78 trusted a Pro V1 or Pro V1x for their success. That’s more than six times the nearest competitor with 9 and more than all competitors combined.
McCarron’s victory marks the ninth for Titleist golf ball players through the first 13 events on the 2017 PGA Tour Champions, more than four times the nearest competitor with 2.
