Did you know that in 1935 Titleist became the first company to x-ray every golf ball to ensure that each met rigorous quality standards?
That's right, our founder Phil Young spent three years to deliver a golf ball truly worthy of being called 'the best golf ball ever made'. As an avid golfer, it was a labor of love for Phil but when he was done with that first Titleist product, he knew he was taking golf ball development to a new place. One of the key process updates that Phil introduced was the step to x-ray every golf ball to ensure the cores were centered and consistent from ball-to-ball.
He did this in 1935 and we still do this to this very day.
