In order to play your best you have to choose the right golf ball. Fortunately, when it comes to performance, that choice is simple - V or X.
The new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls are the total package, providing extraordinary distance with low long game spin, more consistent flight, and outstanding Drop-and-Stop™ performance for all golfers.
So how do you decide between Pro V1 and Pro V1x? The choice really comes down to three factors - Flight, Feel and Spin. Before you fill your ball pocket this season, we'd like to provide a quick guide on the performance differences between the new 2017 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls. Let's take a closer look at V and X side by side.
• • •
FLIGHT
New Pro V1 has a lower, more penetrating flight compared to Pro V1x. Pro V1 has a shallower angle of descent than Pro V1x, resulting in greater roll.
In addition to launching higher, new Pro V1x achieves peak height farther downrange. This results in greater carry distance and a steeper angle of descent than Pro V1.
• • •
FEEL
Feel is a golf ball characteristic that is golfer dependent, but the new Pro V1 is designed to have a softer feel than the new Pro V1x. It is important to note that the feel difference between Pro V1 and Pro V1x does not impact either golf ball's performance, but feel is an important preference for many players.
• • •
SPIN
Both Pro V1 and Pro V1x produce low spin in the long game and deliver Drop-and-Stop™ performance on approach shots into the green. While the long game spin of the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x is very similar, there is a difference in spin between the models on iron approach shots and short game shots, where Pro V1 spins less compared to Pro V1x.
While Pro V1 spins less than Pro V1x on approach shots and short game shots, both models provide golfers with the requisite spin to deliver the stopping power golfers need on these critical shots.

A NOTE ABOUT DISTANCE
When deciding between Pro V1 and Pro V1x, distance is a non-factor, as both models deliver extraordinary distance. In the past few generations of Pro V1 and Pro V1x, many golfers perceived Pro V1x to be the longer model, but that is not the case with the 2017 Pro V1 and Pro V1x.
The new Pro V1 is powered by a Next Generation 2.0 ZG Process Core that now delivers longer distance on all shots through faster ball speed and lower long game spin. It is the longest Pro V1 we've ever made, and the new Pro V1 is now every bit as long as the new Pro V1x, which continues to set the distance standard against which all other golf balls are measured.
Since new Pro V1 and Pro V1x both offer extraordinary distance, the decision really boils down evaluating flight, feel, and spin.

Whether you choose Pro V1 or Pro V1x, you can feel confident that you're making the right choice for your game. No other golf ball can match the performance you'll experience with Pro V1 and Pro V1x. On every shot you play.
