Titleist golf ball loyalist John Daly (Pro V1x) fired three consecutive rounds in the 60’s, including a closing 3-under-par 69 to earn his first career PGA TOUR Champions title at the Insperity Invitational.
Daly, who entered the final round with a one-shot lead, eagled the first hole at The Woodlands Country Club in Texas, then added a birdie on No. 3 to extend his lead to three shots.
His 14-under 202 victory total was one shot clear of two players. Daly made his PGA TOUR Champions debut at this event a year ago.
“It’s just awesome," said Daly. “I want to let all my sponsors know that I love them and thank them for everything. Now I can say I'm a champion on the PGA TOUR Champions. It's really cool and hopefully I can keep this confidence going."
Congratulations, John!
