As we approach the start of the 2016 Open Championship, we're excited to bring you an exclusive and limited release from Master Craftsmen Bob Vokey. 

"I put on my gloves, took an oversized part, and put all of my years of experience into this wedge," said Bob. "A little M Grind, a bit of T, some V Grind along with a pre-worn leading edge."

The end result... the first release of the Vokey Signature series. 

With 60°of loft and 6°of effective bounce, the sole features a crescent shape, with heel, toe and trailing edge relief. The leading edge has been ground to create a pre-worn look and to cut through firm turf. Finally, Bob added a pro channel in the sole. The pro channel allows the leading edge to enter the turf in firm conditions, while maintaining sole width to keep the wedge from digging in more neutral turf conditions as well as enhanced bunker performance. 

Bob went on to hand-grind 25 heads for this release, and each wedge has been hand stamped and custom-built to Bob's exacting standards for performance. 

The story behind the Vokey Signature series is an echo of the origins of the Vokey Brand. When Bob first started crafting wedges for Titleist, he would prepare for unique conditions by grinding a series of prototypes, filling a bag and taking those wedges to the range along with his core, in-line wedges.

This limited offering is in this tradition, merged with all the technological benefits of today: Progressive Center of Gravity and precisely milled TX4 grooves.
