My hole in one
By Darren C On April 25, 2021
Combined team competition I'm playing for Longcliffe golf club. It's the 2nd hole at Burton-upon-Trent golf club. Short par 3, 130 yards. Playing to a front pin position. I take out my not so trusted gap wedge. Hit a lovely shot straight at the pin. Looks great. There is a slight hump just in front of the green so can't see the hole. Ball lands just over the hump but looks like it goes left. So my playing partner and I go looking to see if the ball has stayed on the green or just ran off. But no there she was nestled in the cup! Unbelievable my 1st ever hole in one after 20 years of playing and I didn't get to see it go in.
