It was a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players at the Honda LPGA Thailand, where Amy Yang relied upon the New Pro V1 golf ball to finish five shots clear of So-Yeon Ryu (New Pro V1) and Sei-Young Kim (Pro V1).
All three players closed with 4-under-par 68’s, with Yang posting a record-setting 22-under-par 266 victory total.
Due to rain delays, Yang was forced to play her final five holes of the third round on Sunday morning, and she led by five strokes after 54 holes. She had to play 31 holes on Saturday and 23 on Sunday.
“I am beyond happy,” said Yang. “I had so many early wakeup calls this week. I had to stay patient out there.”
Yang topped a field that featured 18 of the top 20 players in the world. This is her second Honda LPGA Thailand crown (she also won in 2015) and her third career LPGA Tour title.
“I love this place,” Yang said after the victory in Thailand. “I love the people here and I always seem to play well. It's a great start to the year and I am really looking forward to the rest of the season.”
Congratulations, Amy!

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS
Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite in golf balls at the Honda LPGA Thailand with 51 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 8 times the nearest competitor with 6.
This marks the third consecutive victory for Titleist golf ball loyalists to start the LPGA Tour season, as Yang follows Ha Na Jang (New Pro V1) and Brittany Lincicome (Pro V1x) into the 2017 Winners’ Circle.
