    Playing in a Veteran Golfers Association golf tournament at Shangri-la golf club and resort (Afton, OK) on Father's Day and made a hole in one on their Legends course, hole #2 (185 yards), hit a 6 iron using a titleist tour soft golf ball.

    After reading more into these numbers, I'm going to guess the "-03" is denoting it's the 3w version of this club (14.5 degrees) since these registration numbers appear to have to do with the club specs.

    Speaking off the cuff here, but I believe the dimple depth is hand-in-hand with spin. As more spin = more height, deeper dimple = less height. So a no dimple ball will sail up but not gain distance, a deep dimple (like AVX) will punch out more in comparison…

    Thanks, Chuck. Special Edition Xs are not regular options for the "hand-drawn" series. Drive it long, stay on the short stuff, and make some putts!

    If grips are not properly installed with the right amount of glue this can happen. Some do their own and just use the double faced tape and this can happen, without using a proper glue. So it is possible. I always take mine to my local Titleist account…
