    For chips just off a green that is not elevated, I use a hybrid. For all other chips, I use a pitching wedge or my 52 degree wedge. As Dale pointed out, I see no difference between steel or graphite shaft given the same weight. Best of luck,

    Start with lead tape to get the feel.
    2g = 1 swing weight.

    If it feels to light add another 2g

    If you find out what feels good, order that +g weight
    otherwise just keep the lead tape on there.
