• Hole in one

After many years of golf I made my first hole in one yesterday April 18, 2025. I was playing Benvenue CC in Rocky Mount, NC. I used a Titelist T100 8 iron to hole out one #2, a challenging Donald Ross designed green. The ball I use is a PROV1.

I know we must have some members down here. Does anyone get together and play or meetup? I’m in Ft Lauderdale area.

Update: what one sees in my thumbnail is my basic golf bag. The SM10 58-06K chrome has been a "lock" for a month now. I was talked into trying out the SM9 Wedgeworks 58-06K over a year ago. Also briefly tried the 58K* and SM10 60-06K jet black. …

I've read the threads about the new GT woods. I was curious if anyone has put the new hybrids into their bags. My 24* is a TSi series and could use an upgrade.

My first official hole in one came in 4/14/25 on #4 at Hillcrest CC. 114 yards and a 9 iron. Best part is that I was playing with my wife, daughter (9 months pregnant) and son in law. The “5” of us got to celebrate together. We will never forget it! …

  • RE: Fairway Shaft in the GT1 Hybrid

Length would be a difference as well.
  • RE: Shaft change

Some like lighter wedges and some like heavier. Think it might be a personal thing and what works best for you. Getting a fitting does help determine the best fit and performance from the combination. My shafts are all the same, irons and wedges. …

I travel to Lake Charles periodically and was wondering what are some of the better courses in the surrounding area?

  • RE: Titleist GT Fairway 7 Wood-21 Fitting

I've had a 21* 7W for many years. It's often my "go to" club. Other than my Scotty's, it might be the last club in the bag that I'd be looking to replace - except with the new GT woods as i still have the TSRs.
