I normally  buy Titleist bags. Currently I have a Titleist stand bag, old leather Titleist staff bag, and a Sun Mountain Three 5 stand bag. I hate carrying the heavy leather staff cart bag to the driving range or when I walk. But I have 13 mid-size grips and a Superstroke on my putter and the clubs constantly get stuck and two, or three come out when I remove one. Both Lightweight stand bags Titleist and SM. I'm thinking about purchasing a Titleist Staff Stand Bag. Has anyone tried the Titleist Staff Stand bag using mid-size grips?

    Hi Dan,

Are you asking about a Staff bag or a stand bag? You mentioned in your post a "Titleist Staff Stand bag", but a staff bag and a stand bag are two different types of bags. The staff bag are the ones the pros carry and mid-size grips shouldn't be a problem with that bag, since most pros play that size grip or bigger ones and can get the club easily out of the bag. The stand bag, shouldn't be a problem, but it wouldn't be as easy to get your clubs in and out as a staff bag, since the clubs sit at an angle and tend to rest on top of each other.

The Titleist "Staff Stand Bag" if any owners can chime in. I'm interested in buying one.

I have the Staff Stand Bag to carry and I love it.  I just like the look, and the construction of it.  It is a little bit heavier than the light carry bags due to the difference in construction materials, but I really like it.  I always end up breaking those bags that have a "foot" on the bottom to push the legs out, and the Staff Stand Bag doesn't have that "foot" to break.   I have a mid Staff Bag too that I use on my power caddy when I use that instead of carrying.  Again I like the look and the construction and quality of it.

Dan I have the TITLEIST STAFF STAND BAG & use mid size Winn grips. The bag is great ,the clubs don't hang up anymore than usual.I must say that I got mine the first year they came out (December 2013) the bottle pouch is still not broken in yet. But other than that it's a great bag.......madgolfer

It's the first manufacturer to make a stand bag that resembles their staff bag.

Hi Dan, I have a 2014 Titleist lightweight stand bag and I use Lamkin 3 Gen oversized grips. The clubs fit great in the bag and it's a great walking bag. The 2014 & 2015 bags have a lot of great color combos.

Thanks Chris, I'll take a look at them when I visit the PGA S-Store. But I'm leaning toward the Staff Stand. Love the staff bag look without the staff bag weight.

No problem Dan, I love the look of the Staff stand bag to. The design of it is perfect! You get a tour staff look without the weight.

I have a Staff Stand Bag and Midsize Z-Cord Golf Pride grips. I have 15 clubs including my putter which is oversized but not a Superstroke size. I have no problem in the top wood section (driver, fairway, hybrid, sleve of alignment sticks and sometimes Orange Whip too), I have no problem in the bottom wedge section (3 wedges and my putter), I do sometimes have an issue with my main iron section (8 total: 3-PW, 4 on each side and there is no divider between the sides), but it is rare and has never happened when standing upright in a cart. Only when it's on the stand.

    Hope that helps!

    Dan,

I have a Staff Stand Bag and carry 14 clubs - 13 with Golf Pride Multi-compound Midsize grips and a midsize SC Matador grip on my putter. I don't have any issues with clubs getting stuck or anything like that. There is ample space within each of the divided sections. Its a great bag - I am really glad I bought it! Good luck with your purchase.

I use larger grips as well......also a Winn oversize on my Scotty. This year I bought the new 13 way stand bag and I love it. There have been no issues pulling the clubs out at all, unlike my last titleist stand bag. Give it a look
  15. I've got this bag and, unfortunately, the same thing happens... but I still like it.  It has loose liners for each compartment that catches the clubs going in and out.  In fact, two of mine were torn very soon after I got it, while putting in clubs.  The rest of the compartments are great, it's just the club dividers that are the usual problem.  I still like it better than a fourteen divider bag, for sure.  Overall, this is a great, really good looking, and perfectly sized and scaled bag.

  16. Would this fit a clic gear trolley without the tour bag attachment? Love the look of this bag but not sure whether to invest...
