    Good morning,

Need a little assistance on what I can do to bring the ball flight down on my D2.

I was fitted about 3 months ago with the Ilima regular shaft and setting is at A2. I was hitting the ball great when I was with the fitter.

I have definitely improved in fairways significantly with the D2 however my distance has dropped about 20 yards due to ball flight, I changed the setting to D2 and has only improved slightly.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the trajectory before I invest in another fitting/shaft/lesson? I have tried a lower spin ball (NXT Tour) which helps a little.

    Any help is appreciated!

A question that would immediately pop to my mind is asking where you hitting the ball on the face of the driver. If it is above center this will usually result in some ballooning of the ball flight.

Maybe your hitting up on the ball! try putting it farther back in your stance

I don't think NXT Tour is a lower spinning ball than the ProV1x, NXT is a lower spinning ball.

I don't think it is a ball issue.

You got fit with the setting at A2, leave it there, it isn't the club either.

Now I'll tell you what you don't want to hear, it is you, you have changed how you swing the club.

If you've seen something on TV, or someone has given you swing advice, get that out of your head, get back to how you were swinging the club.

People tend to have an idea/thought that actually defines their swing. Once you have gotten back to hitting the ball well, then remember that thought that got you there, WRITE IT DOWN. Now when you are trying something else to improve, and you find it isn't working, you can go back. When you find something that is working better, WRITE IT DOWN.

You need to know your swing, if something goes wrong, figure it out, go back to your thought, don't listen to your buddies or the talking heads on TV.

The range is a wonderful place to figure things out.
