  1. I am looking to buy the 910D3 driver, just curious on what shaft would suit my swing. I am 16 years old, 5'8'', drive the  all between 240 - 360 yards, and hit the ball very high (am looking to lower my trajectory).

    Thanks,

    Aron

  2. I am about 5'8 and am 17. I just got the d3 with the aldila rip 60 stiff shaft and I love it. I had a hibore with a reg prolaunch blue and didn't have any feel on where the head was on my follow through. Now I hit the d3 around 280 to 300 consistently with a much lower penetrating ball flight than before. My swing speed is 100-105. By the sounds of your yardages you are how I was. Sometimes really long and sometimes short. I get consistent 290 now. I hope this helps. Curtis

  3. thanks for the response, deffinatly will consider that shaft. just curious, did you have a high ball flight before the 910D3?

  4. i mean anywhere between 240-260

  5. Yes, a much higher than desirable ball flight. I am only on the standard a1 setting as of now so there is still ability to tweak my ball flight even further. Also I used this app on golf works to check out a rough guess on which shafts suit me. I was a "4B2M." http://www.golfworks.com/article.asp_Q_ai_E_496 Curtis

WE have done extensive real life testing of the shafts on offer from Titleist on the D2 and D3. we have tested differenet age groups and swing speeds, tempo's etc. the end result is that enyone can give adice on their experiance and it might help. the only solution is to get a proper fitting trying the different shafts with A1 setting untill you find the "best" fit. from their you can play with the settings. we have seen results where people hit higher ball flight with the RIP than the Kai'li. we have seen people hit higer ball fligt same shaft with the D3 than the D2. my personal view is that a lot of people pick the D3 where they should in fact play the D2. for amateur golfers handicap 5 and higher, the D2 is a much more versitile club than the D3. bigger head gives more confidance and with the right shaft and settings will be a great club. I have both and played the PX 6.5 in both, as I only play+/- 6 rounds per month, my results with the D2 is better than the D3 as it gives a slightly higher flight and on off centre shots, I still have a great confidance building result.
