Are the KBS Tour shafts available in R+ flex? If not, will they be for the 712 AP2 line? Thanks for your help!!

    David,

We will offer that shaft in both the 710 and 712 models.

Cameron, Would this be the same for the C-Taper?

Will these be standard in the 712's or will these be an up-charge? Thanks again!

There will be no up-charge for the KBS Tour shafts, only the C-Tapers.

I just ordered my new AP2 712's yesterday from my Proshop and they indicated to my Pro that the KBS Tour R+ was not available and I had to order KBS Tour Stiff. Why did they tell us this?

    Michael,

We do offer them, but it is considered an "Off Menu" shaft that isn't listed in our custom options.  If you contact your Golf Shop and have them make the change asap, we may be able to catch the order before it's built.  You can have the golf shop call me at 1-888-TITLEIST if they are having any troubles.

Cameron, where can I see a list of the "off menu" shafts available?? I want to order the AP2's in the new Project X Pxi shafts? Also, order a the Project X "black" shaft for my 910D2? If these are possible, can I call you to order them??? Thanks Chris

    Chris,

We won't have a list of the "off menu" shafts to give out since it is constantly changing.  The PXi shafts are available to order, but the Project X Black shaft is not available.  You will need to place all orders through an authorized Titleist retailer.

Cameron, In your opinion, what playability differences would I see between the KBS Tour R+ and the Project X Pxi shafts??? Without having to go through a fitting (which I don't trust in my area). I currently have the Project X 6.0 in my irons now and like the ball flight (I may hit it a touch too high) but I am looking for a little added distance. Thought the lighter weight of the new PXi's would help. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Chris

    Chris,

The KBS Tour will launch a little higher then the PXi.  The PXi has similar characteristics to the regular PX shafts, but lighter in weight.  The lighter weight may help, but if you went with the KBS Tour, I would recommend the Stiff.  I would say stiff, since you are transitioning from 6.0.

Cameron, Being that the KBS stiff shafts and the current Project X 6.0's that I am playing are 120g a piece, would I really gain anything other than a higher launch?? Which, of course, I do not need, since I already hit the ball high enough to stop on any rock-hard green, dead down wind! What I am looking for is that added distance, if only a few yards. Wouldn't I benefit more from the PXi 5.5 at 108g?? Thanks Chris

    Chris,

There is a possibility you may benefit from that lighter flex in the PX shafts, but that is only if you need a lighter flex due to tempo or swing speed.  There is also the possibility you may not need that lighter flex, which could cause you to generate too much spin and loose distance.  Keep in mind that there will be a swing weight difference between the two.  I would suggest consulting a Club Fitter in your area, who can be the determining factor in deciding if you will benefit from a PX 5.5.
