I'm thinking about heading to Sea Island to get a complete fitting (driver through putter) and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. I've heard it's definately worth the trip. Currently playing last year's AP2s (a buddy lent them to me for a month or so) but am leaning toward the new 712s. Any feel/playability differences noticed?

    Mike,

You will be in great hands at the Sea Island facility.  Craig and Curtis are great guys and know their stuff!!  Let them work with you in finding the most consistent and playable irons for your game.

  3. I've hit them and the new 712 AP2's have a little better feel/sound. The new 712's have improved short irons, with narrower soles, which will allow you to work the ball better. Definitely go through a fitting. I'm sure that Sea Island would be a good choice. If you do go, let us know how the fitting went.

Great service, second to none.  Can't go wrong with any set up of clubs from that facility.

I would definitely recommend getting fit at Sea Island. I went down a few weeks ago to try the new 712's and decided to go with the ap2's. My appointment was with Craig Allan and it was a great experience. The new ap2's look better than the 712's, were a little more forgiving, felt softer, and sounded much better to me. They were very easy to hit. The hour of fitting was well worth the $125.
