Interchangeable Weights for TSi3 Driver

    Since 45.5" driver shaft is WAY to long for me, I generally start shy of 45" and work down to about 44.5" or even 44.25". Because of this I need a couple of heavier weight options. Also, I prefer to buy the Driver off the rack and do the work myself instead of waiting for a custom build that may or may not be right.

    When, where, and how will I be able to obtain additional head weights for the TSi3 Driver?

    Where & how...you should be able to order through any retailer or course pro shop with a Titleist account. The when is the harder part of the answer, you might want to check with one of the big box stores (PGA super store, Golf Galaxy, etc...) or your pro shop to see if they can provide an answer.

    I've had better luck with Titleist Fitting locations than big box stores. Titleist is the only one that knows the answer. I was hoping they would respond.

    I called TItleist and was told for the TSi family the heaviest weight is a +4 unlike a +6 in previous models. The Standard build weight is 8grams. This means you are limited to increasing the swing-weight by 2 points which translates to limiting your cut down shaft length to somewhere north of 45". Hopefully, Titleist will re-think this and offer heavier weights before someone else does... There are still MANY golfers that play less than 45" and require a heavier head-weight.

    I believe you can add and additional weight. Cameron Smith's driver at the Masters had two weight, one in the heel and one in the toe -- maximum MOI set up.

    I am wondering the same thing. Got fit today for the TSi3 driver and kinda wish I could have played around with the heel weights a bit more.

    I play my TS3 at 45" +2 gram weight (196g), curious if the TSi 3 has the same head weight. Went for fitting on the TSi 3 and was fitted with TSi 3 9* with Hzrdus Smoke Black RDX 45" length. Should I just order it with the +2 gram weight?

    At my fitting for the TSi, I commented to the fitter that my previous TS3 which I was also fitted for, that Ive felt over the last couple of years the TS3 felt a little light, I knew from the fitting 2 years ago it was recommended to keep the standard weight playing 45”, rather than increase the weight because it was 1/2” shorter.
    This time in the TSi, also playing 45” I’ve been fitted for having the +2g red weight. It felt much better in the fitting. It’s amazing the difference I felt just adding 2g, I guess this has increased swingweight by one?, and makes the TSi feel like it should as standard with a 45.5” shaft.

    Has anyone validated that you could install 2 weights on the tsi3 as an earlier post stated Cameron Smith did?

    I’m guessing you’ve figured it out by now, but yes 2 weights absolutely works. It works very well. And for those wanting to add more weight, just add a second weight. Love mine!

    Got 2 sets from Titleist and 1 set off Ebay.

    Yes you can use two weights.......if you can find them. I've been trying for almost two months to get an additional +4g weight but have been unsuccessful. My fitter contacted Titleist direct and they refused to let them order it. He then contacted the local rep and hasn't heard back in almost 3 weeks.

    Titleist doesn't uncharge for equipment special ordered with no uncharge shafts and grips over off the rack. If for no other reason than the manufacturing process is still part art, the heads will vary in weight. As part of the building process in Carlsbad, ordering a shorter shaft length and a specific swing weight, Titleist will match the preferred SW and shaft length starting with the standard weight piece (starting with a heavier head and some hot melt if needed). They will also indicate if they can't build to those specifications to look at other options.

    The (-2/-4 g) +2/+4 g are in the custom catalog and can be ordered through a Titleist dealer. All the TSi weights are on page 22 of the Custom Options brochure online.

    Without recommendation as this will affect your warranty, have you looked into 3rd party weight options?

    I play my TSi3 9* in the D4 position (9.75*, standard lie) with a Ventus Blue 6x (tipped .5”) at 44.75”. I average 116-117 SS with 171mph ball speed on Trackman with ProV1. I have the +4 gram weight (12 grams) in the T1 position. The club swingweights at D2. My TSi2 15* 3 wood with Tour AD DI 7x standard length with blue weight swingweights at D4. My TSi2 21* hybrid with Hybrid Tour AD DI 85x standard length with blue weight swingweights at D5. I just ordered a 4 gram genuine Titleist 4 gram weight from EBay to put in the H1 position to bring my driver swingweight to D4. This weight will sit across from the 12 gram weight in the T1 position for a total of 16 grams. I also ordered a 16 gram weight from Golfworks to try in the T1 position. Curious about the following: 1. Which set up will I like more, 12 grams in T1 and 4 grams in H1, or 16 grams in T1. 2. Could I get more ball speed with more head weight? 3. I hope dynamic loft doesn’t jump up too much. The Ventus Blue 6x playing at 44.75” is tipped a half inch so hopefully the additional 4 grams doesn’t create more lead in the shaft bend, ie more dynamic loft. Thoughts?

    All of this discussion seem to be focused on adding weight to adjust swing weight when going to a shorter shaft length. I am 72 years old with a 4 handicap. A year ago, I starting experimenting with a 48" shaft on my TS3 driver. Adding the 2" of shaft length, of course, increased the swing weight significantly, and I the performance was not great. So I removed the barrel weight completely, which brought the swing weight back to about D4, approximately where it was with the original 46" shaft.
    I paired the now lighter head with an X shaft to bring the stiffness back closer to S, where I am comfortable. The results were great. I did significant on-course testing of two driver setups (old setup and 48" setup). The 48" setup resulted in about 15-20 yards increased length with essentially the same accuracy! I used the 48" for the entire year.
    I just purchased the TSi-3 and will begin experimenting with my 48" X shaft today. The arc-like back plate weighs 8 grams and the installed weight is 8 grams. I removed the 8 gram weight, which brought the swing weight back to about D4. Will report results soon

    I have two weights in mine now. I saw a pro with two so i added a blue weight to the orginal brought it up to 14 grams. Love it. Dont think TSR you can do that.

    I used (2) rubber 2g club head weights with The 8g in the center and 1 2g weight on each far side. They sandwich in there perfectly and it brought my swingweight up by 2+ and it’s perfect. Which is good because they aren’t good for anything else.
