AP1 710 Irons - suggested shaft.

    Hi, I have recently purchased a set of AP1 710 Irons with Grafalloy Pro Launch red shafts in stiff flex.  The specs of this shaft are 2.8 Torque 88 gram weight and a low ball flight.  I can't seem to find anything that would match these. The closes that I can find are the Titleist Aldila VS Proto-T with 2.7 Torque 85 gram weight with a mid ball flight.  Would these be an alternative or should I look at something else.  Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    What's the ultimate goal?  Are these clubs performing or are you looking to have a backup set?

    Hi Ryan, thanks for your reply, they are performing to my expectations and would ultimately like to have a back up set but one of the shafts split and I was thinking there may come a time when the shafts are no longer replaceable and the thought crossed my mind of what I could or would put in them based on my current setup.

    I would search ebay and try to pocket a set of shafts!  :)

    I doubt I'll change shafts for a long time.  I've got a set of the old Satin Project X 6.0s that are perfect.  If I break one, I'm in trouble.  I'm definitely going to keep them from set to set.
