What shaft do I need for my driver?

    My swing speed is about 118. My ball speed is about 171. Right now I have a 9.5 Burner TP with a 65 gram stiff shaft. The shaft is the standard shaft that comes with the club. When I was put on the launch monitor today my backspin averaged 3,200. Some shots were as high as 4,500. My launch angle averaged 11.7. My attack angle was at an average of -1.5. I am looking for a new driver too, not just a new shaft. Any suggestions for the club, club head degree, and the type of shaft?

    We definitely need to get the spin down to 2,500 or so.  Your spin is definitely costing you distance at this speed.

    Since I know what you have, I would certainly start with a 910D3 8.5 in a D-1 setting.  Depending on your swing, I would start with the Kaili 65 X, or the Aldila Rip 60 Stiff.

    My goal would be to lower your spin first while finding a shaft that feels right.  Then see if the launch angle improves.  Then see if we need to add a little fade or draw bias.
