Have played a ys6+ stiff in my 905T for about 5 years and really like it. Thought I would upgrade and bought a 909 D2 on Ebay with a diamana bluebord 63G stiff flex. Anyone ever compare the shafts ? Pros ? Cons ? What differences to expect ?

    Thank You,

     mike

I play the same 905T w/ ys6+ stiff shaft.   Really anxious on hearing the responses.

I thought I would have got a response by now. A very experienced clubmaker did tell me the ys6 is a great  fit with all titlesit models and that the bluebord may feel dead.o I think I will reshaft it with the gd ys6+

    Dino,

Me too. I am in Central Massachusetts. But I do have a heated range nearby so I can at least compare the drivers under the same conditions. Will keep you posted.

I have played the YS6 in a few generations of drivers.  I was fitted at the oceanside facility last year with a YS6 stiff in a 909Comp 8.5  and fw's and I love them but it is not in the fitting carts for the 910s and I am wondering the same thing.  Do I go with what the fitting cart showed as the best fit or do I order what has performed well for me.  Any advice from team titileist ?

There is a great graph on the Titleist Custom Options page that shows the different tendencies of the various shafts.  The way to navigate to it is to go to the Drivers section of the Titleist website and select the overview of the Drivers.  Once there, select either the 910D2 or the 910D3.  On each page about mid-way down along the right side is a box that is titled "Resources".  Within the box are 4 PDF documents - one is titled "2011 Titleist Custom Options".  Inside this document is the graph that shows the characteristics of the shafts.  It might help with your decision.  Good luck!

The Diamana Blueboard is a stiffer shaft overall compared to the YS-6 shaft.  I currently play the Tour AD YS-7+ which is 75g.  I get a lot more workability out of it than the Blueboard and the YS-7+ is only $70.  Why pay $300 for a shaft that may not give you what you need.  If the YS-6 works for you and you hit the ball good with it, I would not change a thing.

The YS 6 is a shaft that has worked well in our heads and continues to work well in the 910 metalwoods.  There is no upcharge for a YS6 in the 910 drivers or fairways.

i have the diamana blue board in my driver< it is very hard to play a draw with this shaft it is very stout i hit the bal super straight with it but for me it seems hard to work the ball with that shaft.
