    Was fitted for irons by Justin Bulcock at the Salina Country Club in May of this year. The fitting took just a few minutes. Justin said he could “fit” a whole bag in 30 minutes. My fitting took less than 15 minutes. Surprisingly he put me in CNCPT-02 irons with R Flex Tensi Red shafts. The 6 thru 48° set cost $3267.

    The clubs felt exceptionally light. I took them to the former head pro at the country club and a member of the Kansas Golf Hall of Fame. He had me hitting T350s with KBS Tour Lite R Flex steel shafts. I picked up about 15 yards because I felt like I was swing a golf club instead of a long toothpick. I bought a set of T350s (5 thru 48°) .5” extensions put in and bent up 2°. Cost around $1500. So in the month of May, I spent right under $5000 on Titleist golf clubs.

    On July 9 Mr. Bulcock was at SCC for driver fittings. I couldn’t attend but our club pro, Wes Lawhorn, asked the fitter if Titleist would change out the shafts so the CNCPT irons would. His response was “no,”….i’d have to bear the expense of making the clubs right.

    I have three Titleist golf bags, limited edition head overs, probably two dozen FJ shirts and three pair of shoes, four Cameron putters and still have SM9 . Ten percent of golfers buy 90% of the golf merchandise, and unfortunately I’m in that 10%. I had brand loyalty to Titleist, but that’s gone. My three golf bags will be on the internet for sale. Just spent $380 on a great stand bag this Spring. Oops, also bought a SM 10 wedge as well.

    I’ll be trading in all my Titleist clubs and selling the bags. Titleist would have easily made their money back on the restarting in short order…but instead they’ve lost a loyal customer. There’s a lot of great equipment out there to choose from.

    In closing, let me say the t350s are awesome irons. And (1) don’t trust a fitter who says he can fit your whole bag in 30 minutes; and (2) don’t agree to spend $3200+ on a set of irons when the fitter after 15 to 20 minutes on a driving range.

    Sorry for your experience at Salina Country Club.

    My experience with the Titleist sponsored fittings is I’ve barely hit my own club(s) and finished being interviewed for what my expectations are and how the process of the fitting will go in 15 minutes, let alone getting fit.

    Have Wes contact the local Titleist rep and then the 2 of you can negotiate an equitable resolution. As an aside, your fitter might end up having his Titleist license pulled. I’d love to get fitted for the CNCPT-4, but I’m not looking for a $500 iron. They were definitely better than the T300 for feel. I’d guess the difference is now much closer with the current Gen-3 T series. …Love the T200’s I ended up with. Fitting someone into CNCPT irons in 15 minutes, unless you specifically requested them, is so far from the current Titleist model for fitting, that Titleist needs to know.

    I would at least call Titleist directly and have a conversation with customer service about it. I have several friends in the business and Titleist is one of the companies that takes the best care of them. Don't let one person change your opinion of the entire company.

    I'll add a 3rd to your list, over 50% of the "authorized" fitters are nothing more than salesmen, pushing whatever pays the highest commission. My Titleist guy in Tampa (20+ years) is a Tour player caliber fitter, he'd even tell you that you bought it, it's your baby now. Impulse buying without a 2nd opinion is like buying a Mercedes without having a tow truck number on speed dial. I just tried the new GT's out, I'm not sold, so I didn't order it.

    Sell the Concept's for whatever you can, take the loss, next time, ask around for a reliable/reputable fitter.

    I had my own GT Driver fitting this week. The GT is everything the hype is about. I picked up 14 yards carry. I purchased the driver at the fitting.
    Jason Shesterenko was my fitter, a great person for anyone be fitted by.
